Public Speaking
The Public Speaking class will emphasize the importance of developing strong communication skills. Each student will be provided with the opportunity to gain skill, confidence, and fluency in their communication with others and before a group. Some of the concepts to be covered are the effectiveness of tone of voice, nonverbal communication, delivery styles, organizational techniques, and audience awareness.

Classroom Policy
Come to class prepared, having done the best job that you were capable of on all assignments. When assignments are not completed, you fall behind the class, the grade suffers, and the benefits that would have been derived from that lesson are not achieved.

Be in class on time with the necessary tools to be productive.

Raise your hand when you have something to say. Ask questions and give your opinion. You are a valuable participant in the learning process, and we want to hear what you have to say.

Always be respectful to your classmates and teacher. You may not always agree with another opinion, but be respectful of the opinion of others.

If you do not understand something, ask for help, and if you still do not understand - ask again.

What we learn together in our class is important, but even more important is what you take away and use to enrich your life and to become all that you can be.
